I liked the interesting angles and the panning shots were very steady. There were no close up's on the character until the end, this gives the audience a distance from the character until her voice over, which is good for this sort of opening. The difference between the girl and the 'monster' is well established. The heart beat ambient sound is effective and goes well with the scenes/shots. The shaky cam works well for the monster to show the chase and it works well towards the end to show distress. I really liked the title it looked brilliant and the music complimented it well.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the phone signal was heard, it could have been edited out and also I could hear you breathing in the background in the house scenes/shots :L but it made it seem like someone was watching the girl character the whole time, making the opening more creepy. I feel the music could have picked up in pace, as well as heart beat to heighten the chase.
In conclusion, Brilliant and I'd like to watch the rest of the movie please! xxx :)
